The Pull: A Look at the Comics Dropping the Week of August 5th
After a bizarro blip of a Fifth Week, we’re back with a much more regular week with some tempting titles at the top. But there can only be one in The Pull, so let’s look at my buys, recommendations, and curiosities from the week of comics, with that all led by Captain America in hell.

Comic of the Week: Captain America #14
Even though the artist involved continues to be a moving target, Chip Zdarsky’s Captain America run maintains its status as a very, very fun read, as the surprising duo of Captain America and Doctor Doom team up to get out of literal hell while Armageddon takes hold on Earth and the Red Skull takes aim at…well, at least one of them. Save for Fantastic Four, this might be the most consistently good Marvel comic going right now. Now if only the artists were consistent…

Trade/Graphic Novel of the Week: Stop!! Hibari-Kun! Vol. 2 TP
This pick falls under a very simple rule for this column, which is, “When Peow2 releases a comic, I buy that comic.” While it’s a default choice for this slot simply because no other trades or graphic novels are coming home with me this week, Stop!! Hibari-Kun! is no default, as its impeccable design and Hisashi Eguchi’s lovely cartooning make this an easy pick regardless of what else is arriving in shops this Wednesday.
