The Pull: A Look at the Comics Dropping the Week of December 7th

After last week’s extraordinarily light slate thanks to a rare Fifth Week, we have quite the list of releases this week, with finales, debuts, and everything in-between. Let’s dig into it in the latest edition of The Pull.

Book of the Week: All Against All #1

This pick is mostly a creative team play mixed with a deep love of the elevator pitch. It’s been suggested as, “What if Tarzan were the xenomorph from Alien?” That’s fantastic, especially considering that it also sounds as if it has a little bit of Predators (the third movie from the franchise) in its roots. With the excellent Caspar Wijngaard on art and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou lettering it, this book is certain to look good. Pair all that with a tight five issue run for this story — which is smart given the highly focused concept — and we have a recipe for goodness here. I’m into this one, even if the limited nature might result in me ultimately waiting for trade on it.
