For once — once! — it’s a bit of a light week, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still plenty to get excited about as I share my buys, recommendations, and curiosities from the week of comics, led by the grand finale to one of the most singular and singularly unusual Big Two comics in recent memory.

Comic of the Week: Absolute Martian Manhunter #12

It all ends here.

And what ends here is one of the most strange, inventive, bizarre, gorgeous, and truly unique “superhero” comics in…I was going to say recent memory, but let’s be real. This is an “ever” situation, not a recent memory one. Deniz Camp, Javier Rodriguez, and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou have done something singular here, as Absolute Martian Manhunter is a true one-of-one. It’s a lot. I’ll admit it. It’s a lot. But dang, it’s a doozy, and I’m excited to see how they end things here.
