The Pull: A Look at the Comics Dropping the Week of May 25th

A busy, weird week of comics has no obvious headliner, so instead of focusing on a new, hot thing, let’s start with a favorite entering its final arc.

Book of the Week: Stillwater #13

As much as I love this series, part of me wondered how long it really could go. Not because I have doubts in Chip Zdarsky and Ramon Perez’s talents. It just felt like it was approaching the natural conclusion of the story as the second arc concluded. And you know what? It turns out I was correct! Stillwater’s entering its last arc, and I have little doubt it’s going to be a wild finish.

This issue starts us on that path, as the last arc deals with the ramifications of how the last one concluded. Many of the chess pieces are still on the table, but the rules have changed, and there will be a lot of ramifications to come from that. Big drama’s on its way, and it’ll be glorious. I have no idea where Zdarsky and Perez are taking us. I just know it’ll be good along the way.
