The Pull: A Look at the Comics Dropping the Week of September 7th

Last week was a sort of random one, as it was a fifth Wednesday in the month, and fifth weeks are always strange in comics. The week that follow tends to be bonkers. This week is just that. Let’s get into a deep, deep week of comics, led by the penultimate issue of a favorite making its presence felt.

Book of the Week: Once & Future #29

With the way the previous issue ended, how close to the end we are, and the overall quality of this series, it’s top of my list every week until it’s done. Kieron Gillen, Dan Mora, Tamra Bonvillain, and Ed Dukeshire are crafting one of the finest pieces of blockbuster entertainment in recent comics history here, and it comes with character and heart to match. Again, given how that previous issue ended, I’m not sure I’m ready for this story about stories to turn into a tragedy. We might be at that point, though.

Either way, I’m along for the ride, and ready for whatever they have in store for us.

Probably.

Maybe.

I guess it depends on the result of that last issue.

Don’t hurt me Team Once & Future!
