The Pull: A Look at the Comics Dropping the Week of September 8th

It’s a light week, but with some great books leading the way. Let’s get into it in this week’s edition of The Pull.

Book of the Week: Six Sidekicks of Trigger Keaton #4

For the first time with this series, I have not read this issue before release. For the first time, there’s some level of uncertainty going in. Or perhaps there should be. There is not. That’s because the first three issues of this Kyle Starks and Chris Schweizer title were extremely good, and Starks and Schweizer are extremely good. This is very much a title that is reflective of the creators behind it while being greater than the sum of its parts, because the unique flavors Starks and Schweizer bring to the table elevate each other without taking away from the work.

And this title, about six former sidekicks of a particularly unlikeable action star trying to investigate his murder, is extremely fun. That’s always worth noting, because comics that entertain me and make me laugh always get a real boost personally. If you’re looking for a comic that entertains you while showcasing two talents doing what they do at the very highest levels, Trigger Keaton is for you.
