The Marvel Universe Unpacked with Russell Dauterman

Who doesn’t love the old Marvel trading cards from the 1990s? I know I do. They were a massive part of my journey as a comic fan, as I obsessed over the power ratings and great art you’d find on each. And it turns out I’m not the only one. Artist Russell Dauterman does as well, as you could likely guess from the trading card variants he’s done in the past. That’s why during New York Comic Con this year, Dauterman and I sat down to talk about those cards and how they impacted him, before he opened a pack and shared his thoughts about the cards and artists he finds within.

It’s a very fun chat, but as a note, this was originally meant to be a vertical oriented video but we enjoyed ourselves too much to make it a YouTube Shorts friendly length. My bad! That’s why it’s horizontal with all the video in the center. Whoops! I’ll have that planned out a bit better at the next con I go to.

You can watch the video below, and if you enjoy it, consider subscribing to the SKTCHD YouTube, as I have more fun video coming up on the horizon.
