The Pull: A Look at the Comics Dropping the Week of February 18th
New Kyle Starks and new Keigo Shinzo in the same week? Who in the world blessed me with such glory?!? Let’s look at those releases and more as I share my buys, recommendations, and curiosities from the week of comics in another edition of The Pull.

Comic of the Week: End of Life #1
I’ve read this issue already, and if you enjoyed Peacemaker Tries Hard!, the previous collaboration between Kyle Starks and Steve Pugh, then you’re going to love this one. Heck, if you enjoy Kyle Starks, End of Life might be the most Kyle Starks comic we’ve had in a while. I mean that in a very good way, as End of Life is a bananas comic that’s filled with violence, humor, one-liners, and a lead named Eddie Stallion. Really, all you need to know is that name, because Eddie Stallion speaks to the entire book’s vibe in a real way. And you know Pugh and colorist Chris O’Halloran are going to bring it on the art side!

Trade/Graphic Novel of the Week: Hirayasumi Vol. 8
You probably aren’t surprised by yet another volume of Hirayasumi taking this spot. I’d totally get it if you weren’t. But as the comic that was my favorite in 2024 and second favorite in 2025, it’s safe to say that every new volume of Keigo Shinzo’s Viz series will earn my Trade/Graphic Novel of the Week going forward unless it has an unprecedented drop off. And, I mean, just look at that cover! There’s no drop off coming, my friends. Hirayasumi forever!
