Four Favorites with Patrick Horvath, Tiffany Babb, and Tony Fleecs at ComicsPRO 2026

There’s something wonderfully simple about Letterboxd’s Four Favorites series. These videos that find movie stars, directors, producers, and beyond sharing their four favorite movies do an exceptional job of quickly taking viewers inside the brains of their subjects, and they do so in a brisk, entertaining manner. I’m a big fan.

The beauty of the idea, though, is it can kind of translate to anything, right? Sure, the original flavor focuses on movies, but why couldn’t it be someone’s favorite TV shows? Or favorite albums? Or even their favorite baseball players? Whatever you pick, it works, and that’s certainly the case for comics…at least in theory. That’s why I’ve always wanted to try my hand at putting some Letterboxd-style Four Favorites videos together when I attended a comic convention, as I was curious if it would work as well in reality.

So, I did just that at ComicsPRO’s annual conference, and it ended up being one of my favorite things I did at the event. This video is the first of two Four Favorites videos that will come from the event, with the other arriving next week, and it features Patrick Horvath (the cartoonist behind Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees), Tiffany Babb (the editor of The Comics Staple and The Comics Courier), and Tony Fleecs (the writer/artist of Feral and the writer of Deathstroke: The Terminator) sharing four of their favorite comics and graphic novels at this event in Glendale, California. It’s a lot of fun, as my guests shared great insight into their faves and what fuels their passion along the way. You can watch this video in full below.

As a note, these will be one type of video that will not come with a transcription. They just make more sense as videos, and they’re not long enough to really warrant a text version of what each person says. So, if you want to know what these fine folks picked, make sure to watch it in full, and don’t forget to subscribe to SKTCHD and the SKTCHD YouTube channel while you’re at it.
