“The Killing Zone” is such a laughably bad name for an imprint I can’t imagine it actually ever being used. With the epidemic of mass shootings in this country, I think using the word “killing” as part of a brand is problematic. This is music, but I think “Death Row” and “Murder, Inc.” were very much of their time and I don’t think names like that work in 2019.

(or is this just me going full “get off my lawn”? I don’t know)

1. And 2. I’m not reading Batman so can’t comment. Ultimately DC gets to decide direction for their character, but it does show the risk of allowing statements about the future to be made.
(Remember when Joe Quesada said the Marvel and Ultimate Universes would cross over when they were out of ideas?)
1. Steepled looks interesting - thanks for pointing it out.
2. It does seem sensible reaction to marketplace. We’ll see.

It truly is a terrible idea for a name. I’d hope it isn’t used.
1. I’m not reading Assassin Nation, but keep hearing things about it. Though we’re 3 issues into 5 issue series, so I may way for the digital trade.
(Skybound is a good name for an imprint)

It’s ASTONISHING, to be honest. Both as a reflection of the types of stories Geoff Johns normally tells - The Killing Zone are not exactly the first three words I think of when I think of his work - and of DC in the Warner Bros. era. It makes zero sense that anyone would have thought it was a good idea, but hey, here we are!
