It’s a New Year, So Let’s Do a New Year Mailbag Q&A!

It’s 2026.

The world is filled with flying cars. Faster than light travel exists. That weird microwave Leeloo from The Fifth Element bakes an entire chicken in in, like, four seconds resides in every home. It’s a magical time now that we’re in the future.

Or not. It’s not that magical, or very Jetsons-like or even The Fifth Element-like, at least in some ways on the latter side. But because it’s a new year and we made it to the other side of the holiday vortex, it’s now time for one of my patented Mailbag Q&As. “What is that?” you might be wondering. Well, it’s pretty simple. It’s an opportunity for you, one of SKTCHD’s subscribers or Off Panel’s patrons, to ask me any questions you might have for me to answer in a giant-sized column. Basically, it’s an easy chance at a good time here on the site.

These questions can be about anything. Do you want my take on a specific comic industry topic? Want my thoughts on something on the creative side of the medium? Curious about how I do something on SKTCHD or Off Panel? Want to know about my depression level when it comes to the Indiana Pacers, or interested in my expectations for The Pitt Season Two, or maybe you want to know more about why I loved Uncharted 4: The Thief’s End so much? Maybe you just have a question about my life, because I’m coming up on my birthday, and we all tend to get ponderous as we age? Whatever it is, I’m here to answer it. There are no lines to be crossed, save for the line that says, “Wow, this is a long-form article, not a Mailbag question.” If that’s the case, I may adjust things accordingly!

Whatever the question is, I’m here to answer it in an eventual column. But how can you ask it? It’s pretty simple. I’ll be accepting questions until Sunday, January 25th, and all you have to do to submit a question is drop it into the comments or email me at david@SKTCHD.com. I’ll get it in the mix and then answer all the questions in said column at some point in the future, but most likely February, as this is a double-month Mailbag. The point of this exercise is to have a good time, though, so hit me up, and let’s have some fun!
