It’s time to raise some swords, baby! Or S.W.O.R.D.s? Whatever. Let’s talk about comics, specifically this week’s releases, led by a book of the week that probably will not be much of a surprise given this intro.

Book of the Week: S.W.O.R.D. #1

I’d be here if it was just S.W.O.R.D.

I would be here if it was just Al Ewing.

The same if it was just Valerio Schiti.

Combine all of that together, and you have one of the most exciting debuts of the year. Add in the designs, the Fabian Cortez cape/cloak thing, Abigail Brand’s general greatness, that cast, the expansion of the X-Men idea, and everything else and you have an A-lister release that I am mega hyped for. This is going to be fun, and the best kind of it. Can’t wait to see what they have in store for us.
