The Pull: A Look at the Comics Dropping the Week of February 26th

We have some personal faves hitting this week, so let’s dig into it, as we explore my buys, recommendations, and curiosities from the week of comics in The Pull.

Comic of the Week: FML #4

In a lighter week with some headliner releases, let’s use this space to remind folks that Kelly Sue DeConnick, David López, Cris Peter, and Clayton Cowles’ Dark Horse Comics series FML is one of the best single issue titles on the stands right now. It’s halfway through its run with this issue, and it continues to wow with its electric characters, its remarkable vibes, and David López’s outrageously good art. I mean, just look at that cover! So much intrigue! Wonderful character work by López! Lydia’s reflection! I simultaneously want to live in FML and would prefer if the world didn’t feel so much like it. That’s a tough line to walk, and one the series walks well.

Trade/Graphic Novel of the Week: Nights Season One Volume 2

I’ve talked up this series enough, so I’m going to keep this write-up pretty simple: This a great comic series, and more than that, it’s a wholly unique one from some exceptional talents. You should be reading Nights. I love it so.
