The Pull: A Look at the Comics Dropping the Week of July 29th
A long anticipated graphic novel arrives this week, and it leads the way in The Pull, the look at my buys, recommendations and curiosities from the week of comics.

Book of the Week: Pulp
Brubaker and Phillips.
That’s sort of the only thing I have to say to adequately explain why I am buying this comic. It’s Brubaker and Phillips. It could be about competitive water polo or a crochet tournament in Detroit in 1964 or about me typing this sentence or the grim and gritty side of laundromats, and I would be buying it.
Because it’s Brubaker and Phillips.
I am very excited for this graphic novel from this prolific pair, as I am for all of their works, and as I have to imagine I will be as long as they work together.
