The last edition of The Pull for the next month arrives, as a rather interesting debut leads the way for me this week.

Book of the Week: The Closet #1

I’m excited to read this for a number of reasons.

1. James Tynion IV doing James Tynion IV things.
2. Gavin Fullerton getting in front of a lot of readers, especially with Chris O’Halloran colors.
3. The fact that an Off Panel patron was worked up enough about this comic that he requested I curse Tynion’s name when he came on Off Panel.
4. That this is the first Substack comic being released in print, making it a curious test subject.
5. It being a three issue mini-series designed to do its own thing.
6. James Tynion IV doing horror things.

All of those are good and exciting things. We’ll see how they all add up when I get the comic itself in my hands, but I’m rather excited about this one. It’s a top notch book of the week.
