The Pull: A Look at the Comics Dropping the Week of September 18th

This week has a lot of great headliners, albeit with one of them only maybe coming out, depending on which comic shop you go to. And yet, there’s a lot to be excited about, so let’s dig into my buys, recommendations, and curiosities from the week of comics in the latest edition of The Pull.

Comic of the Week: The Moon is Following Us #1

I refuse to learn more about this comic, at least in part because my idea that it’s “(Taken + Smash TV) x magic” needs to be spoiled by the series itself. Trade/Graphic Novel of the Week: Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees TP

Patrick Horvath and Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou’s exceptional “Dexter in one of Richard Scarry’s towns” series earned the praise that was sent its way and more. Horvath is a remarkable talent, and someone whose art astonishes and character work wows. This is a serial killer series unlike any you’ve ever read before, as the Dexter comp it has been saddled with is kind of accurate but really just the tip of the iceberg. If you missed it, you should definitely pick up the trade, because Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees is a doozy.
