It’s a big week for big releases, so let’s get into the highlights from it in the latest edition of The Pull.

Comic of the Week: The Power Fantasy #1

Unless November or December have some seriously shocking revelations, I suspect The Power Fantasy #1 will end up being my most anticipated single-issue series debut of the entire year. Its an elite creative team at the peak of its powers building off the experiences of the writer of the series into something new and, if I’m correct in my belief, special. We’ll see if I’m right this week, but I have a lot of stock in this new Image series from writer Kieron Gillen, artist Caspar Wijngaard, letterer Clayton Cowles, and designer Rian Hughes.

Trade/Graphic Novel of the Week: Sex Criminals: Letter Daddies TP

As a person who has a long-established love for letters columns, the fact that Matt Fraction and Chip Zdarsky decided to release a collection of their Letters Daddies letters columns in trade paperback format feels like something from my dream journal. It’s such a fun way to celebrate the ten year anniversary of this series, and a wonderful treat for the Brimpers of the world.
