It’s Time Once Again for a March Mailbag Q&A!

The February Mailbag Q&A went so well, we’re going to run one back in March. Now, there are a fair few new folks around these parts, so it’s possible you might be wondering, “What the heck is a Mailbag Q&A?” The short, unhelpful answer is it’s just what it sounds like. The longer, more useful answer is it’s a chance for you — the wonderful patrons of Off Panel and the amazing subscribers of SKTCHD — to ask me any questions you might have for me to later answer in a column on both SKTCHD and Off Panel’s Patreon.

If this sort of thing sounds familiar, you probably used to read Bill Simmons like I did. It’s a classic from The Sports Guy’s repertoire, and it’s a fun way to talk with all you fine folks and engage with a whole bunch of interesting subjects at the same time. Now, the next question becomes, “What can you ask about?” That answer is simple. You can ask about anything!

Most people, though, will send me questions about comics and the industry or the writing and podcasting that I do. The angle you take is up to you, but it really runs the gamut from real to hypothetical and overarching thoughts to hyperspecific ones. I am open to it all. Speaking of, I will often answer questions about other subjects as well. I am a massive NBA fan and people know that, so I get plenty of those. There are often questions about movies, TV, music, travel, food, current events, or really whatever. Someone once even asked me about the blockchain, and this was before I understood it. That was a heck of a thing. I’m down with whatever, though.

Participating is easy: You just send me your question! You can do that by emailing me at david@SKTCHD.com or adding the question (or questions!) to the comments of this post. You can even hit me up on Instagram or Bluesky if you prefer. Basically, if you can find a way to reach me, then I’m down with that being the route you send it through. The only note is ideally questions arrive no later than March 16th, as I’ll be putting this column together the following week. That’s it! Let’s have some fun, as that’s the point of this whole thing.
