It’s Mailbag Time, Once Again: Now Accepting Questions for the February 2021 Mailbag

It’s the beginning of another month, which means it’s time once again for one of my Mailbag Q&A’s, in which you – the subscribers of SKTCHD and patrons of Off Panel – get the opportunity to ask me any question you want either out of genuine curiosity or from a place of wanting to see me figure out how the heck to answer something (looking at you, Brian Klein-Q). If you’ve never been a part of one of these, it’s simple: you ask me a question or questions about any subject – comics, the industry, podcasting, writing, my Hawaii trip, cats, Station Eleven, the best way to warm up tortillas, whatever – and I answer them.

The point of the whole thing is to put something interesting and entertaining together, and to be honest, you all remain undefeated. I love everything you all come up with. I’m regularly impressed by what you send my way, and it’s a blast answering them. But a few reminders. First, don’t be afraid to get weird! Outside-the-box is my favorite place to live. Second, it doesn’t have to be real, it 100% can be hypothetical. Whatever you’re feeling. Lastly, it can be about me or it can be about a much broader view on things. It’s all up to you.

So let’s get to those questions, shall we? Submitting questions is easy enough to do. All you have to do is submit a question either via email to me at david@SKTCHD.com or add your question to the comments here. It’s that easy.

And to spice things up a bit this month, I’m going to be doing a giveaway as part of this. SKTCHD BOOK 2021 is coming soon (I think it’ll be up for order by March), and I still have one extra copy of the 2019 edition featuring my Annihilation oral history, an interview with Jonathan Hickman, the story behind Hellboy’s “Pancakes” storyline with insight from Mike Mignola (and the entire comic) in it, and more. If you submit a question, you’ll be entered to win my last remaining copy (which I must admit isn’t CGC 9.8, as it has a slight scrape on the cover), and if you so desire, I’ll autograph it, draw a terrible Stilt-Man in it, ship it off to you, and include who knows what else with when I do. The only caveat is only people in the U.S. are eligible to win because holy crap, international shipping from Alaska is EXPENSIVE. If that’s of interest, you know what to do!
