Greetings from Lexington, Kentucky, where I’m taking a break from a lovely morning of touristing, breakfast pecan pie, surprisingly Gilmore Girls-ified coffee shops, and a near 100 degree day with insane humidity. It’s a bit of a change of pace from my recent visit to the Bay Area, but I’m loving it — and Lexington Comic Con (which is what I’m here for) hasn’t even started yet!

But the show must go on even though I’m adventuring in the wild lands of Kentucky, as it’s time to open up the call for questions for the September/October Mailbag Q&A! For those that are new to these parts (SKTCHD and Off Panel’s Patreon, not Kentucky), these Mailbags are a chance for you — the subscribers of SKTCHD and patrons of Off Panel — to ask me any questions you may have for me to answer in a giant-sized column that’ll follow later on. It’s part informational, part fun, and 100% a blast, in my opinion. It’s one of my favorite things to do on the site/Patreon, to be honest.

What can your questions be about, you might be wondering? The short answer is anything. The questions from subscribers and patrons really run the gamut. But if you’d like a typical range, they usually orient on comics — both the medium and industry — and the work I do on SKTCHD and with Off Panel. That’s what most of the questions focus on, but don’t let that stop you from escaping into other realms. Maybe you have questions about comic conventions in specific. Perhaps you’re looking for my takes on the movie Obsession now that I watched it during one of my flights to Lexington. You could be wondering what my hottest takes about the upcoming NBA season or MLB playoffs are. Maybe you just want to know more about me.

I don’t know what you are wondering about, and it’s not for me to tell you what to ask. It’s for you to just ask whatever question, or questions, you might have and for me to answer them in the aforementioned giant-size column. One important note I always make is if the questions are too big, as in they’d require a lot more writing than a few paragraphs, I reserve the right to answer your query as a full out article on SKTCHD. That doesn’t happen very often, but I wanted to mention it just in case.

Ultimately, the point of these Mailbags is to have fun talking comics and beyond, so if you have a question, add it to the comments of this post or email me at david@SKTCHD.com.
