Folks, I hope you’re ready because the latest (and maybe greatest?) print annual for SKTCHD and Off Panel is now available for order. It’s SKTCHD BOOK 2025, and it’s the biggest book yet. Literally. It’s a beast, and it’s waiting for you to order it on Big Cartel.

SKTCHD BOOK 2025 is a print annual collecting five of my favorite pieces from the year for the site and its podcast, Off Panel, as well as a special, book-only Ten Thing column, all in one glorious tome. All the writing is by me with the design by my wife Amber Harper, and it results in a 152 page book that’s A5 sized and printed on 80 lb uncoated paper and a 110 lb uncoated cover. 1 It all adds up to my favorite of these books yet.

What might you find inside this book, you might be wondering? Well, this year’s edition includes:

• A foreword by writer Kieron Gillen!
• The story behind how Bone ended up in Disney Adventures Magazine, featuring Jeff Smith, Marv Wolfman, Heidi MacDonald, and Cliff Chiang!
• A look inside my Comic Character Name Matrix, with a detailed breakdown of the one true name for many, many of your favorite comic characters!
• A massive conversation with the legendary Grant Morrison about their sprawling career, views on comics, and work on DC/Marvel: Batman/Deadpool, which originally aired on Off Panel!
• An exploration of 2025’s comic strip boom, as cartoonists like Beetle Moses, Sarah Andersen, Joshua Barkman and more take me inside what it’s really like to make comic strips in the social media era!
• The Entire History of Me, a 10th anniversary piece that finds me sharing my picks for the most personally consequential comics that were released for every year of my life and the reason each made the cut!
• A book-only take on my column Comics Disassembled, where I share ten things I love about what I do on SKTCHD and Off Panel!
• Art from comics like Bone, Beetle Moses, Sarah’s Scribbles, False Knees, and more!
• Cover by my wife Amber!

As per usual, I’m only printing however many copies are ordered, so if you want a book, this is your one time to get one. It’s now on sale on Big Cartel for $25 each (plus shipping), and they will only be on sale for a limited time with orders closing on Thursday, April 30th at 5 pm Alaska time. Once they’re closed, they’re closed — and there will only be one print run.

At that point, I’ll print the number of copies ordered on Big Cartel at Mixam, ship them up to Alaska, and then I will distribute them to anyone who ordered a copy, which makes this a pre-order. We have this down to a science, though, and we’ve gone through the same process the past few years. It should be as minimal a turnaround time as possible.

Just a couple notes on shipping, though. Because of the surcharges USPS is adding for shipping due to the state of the world, shipping prices are projections to some degree. The good news is for domestic customers, I’ve added another option in ground advantage, which is faster than media mail and cheaper than flat rate. So, that’s cool! International stayed the same, though, as there’s just no way to project that right now. Hopefully it sticks to the same rates otherwise this could get real funky!

One quick note: If you’d like me to sign your book, please let me know in the notes of the order. I’m happy to do so, but I also don’t want to deface the book unless you so desire.
