This week brings an array of regulars to this look at my buys, recommendations, and curiosities from the slate of comics, but it’s all led by a retuning favorite. Let’s get into all that and more in this week’s edition of The Pull.

Comic of the Week: Farmhand #21

It’s been a minute since the previous issue of Farmhand. Okay, maybe more than a minute. It’s a smidge under three years, to be specific. But Rob Guillory’s solo series over at Image has been strong throughout, and its entering its final arc with this issue. If you’ve never read it before, this is a good time to get onboard as it approaches its end.

Trade/Graphic Novel of the Week: Phenomena Vol. 3: The Secret

While I’ve liked, not loved, this series so far, it has an extreme advantage in its favor: André Lima Araújo’s art. He’s a remarkable talent, and the detail of the black and white art that Araújo brings to this series is absolutely staggering. It has a strong pedigree with writer Brian Michael Bendis also on the book, and if anyone can stick a landing, it’s a pair as talented as that. Its floor is high, though, simply because Araújo’s such a killer artist.
