Off Panel LIVE!: A Fantasy Draft of the (Dumb) Things From Comics That Make Us Love the Medium

While at Cape & Cowl Con in Alameda, California, I had the rare opportunity to host a live podcast during the show. I’ve only hosted one live podcast before and it was a blast, so it was good to get another shot to do this — and man oh man, was it a good time. We closed our the programming for the day with a fantasy draft of the (dumb) things from comics that make us love the medium, and it featured writer/artists Dave Baker and Nicole Goux, writer Evan Narcisse, and Cape & Cowl Comics’ owner/Cape & Cowl Con’s co-curator Eitan Manhoff drafting with me on stage. Here’s the whole crew together while we were recording this very episode (Baker was taking us on a real journey at the moment).

The good news is it was one heck of a time, and the even better news is that it was recorded. The bad news is the sound was a bit funky because of the wind in the area, so this episode is not going on the main feed. It’s just a bit funky audio-wise that makes it pretty inconsistent with what you’d typically expect from the show. But I still love it and believe people would still enjoy it, which is why it’s going to be a special episode of the show that’s exclusive to SKTCHD subscribers and Off Panel patrons. You can only listen to it after the break of this post, so if you’re not currently a subscriber or patron…well, you know what to do.
