The Pull: A Look at the Comics Dropping the Week of March 30th

Another small week for me is led by an electric headliner. Let’s get to that and more in this week’s edition of The Pull.

Book of the Week: Immortal X-Men #1

This is an obvious pick for book of the week for a number of reasons. Kieron Gillen wrote it, and he’s my reigning writer of the year. It’s the Quiet Council X-Book we never knew we always wanted, immediately making it the most interesting title in the line. It has a killer Mark Brooks wraparound cover. Those three alone are enough, but it also feels like it’s the book that will be foundational for the Marvel universe from Krakoa – especially with Gillen writing the upcoming Judgment Day ecent – and it has an up-and-comer in Lucas Werneck on art.

What’s not to like?

This is the easiest pick for the top spot in a while. I’m all in on Immortal X-Men. I can’t wait.
